Beginning a New Journey

Well, I broke down and started one of these. Lately, I have had a lot to say, and I thought someone who doesn’t know me might hear my story and somehow their life could be touched.

Over the course of my sophomore year of college God has shown me so much through the new group I got plugged into called h2o church. It’s a college church designed to encourage and nurture the spiritual journeys of college Christians at Bowling Green State University. My freshman year I never found this growth that I was seeking for the entire school year, but God had a reason why I didn’t stumble upon h2o my first year at BG. I know I would not have met all my wonderful new friends and been placed in such an amazing cell group with such amazing women if I had found h2o last year. I have learned so much about God’s timing this year and also that patience is a virtue. The road he is taking you on has obstacles along the way, but the reward at the end of the journey is worth far beyond the suffering and pain endeared on the path to righteousness.

Acts 20:24 is a favorite verse of mine. I feel like it sums up my goal in life right now in my new directions with Christ.

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me —the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

God has revealed so much to me in the past school year and I am so excited to see where he takes me as I begin a new journey with him.
