Part 1
The first part of my vacation is over. However, in just the two short days in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach, I learned so much. Being on the ocean and so close to one of God’s most beautiful masterpieces allowed me to see how much time I have been spending with him and thinking of him.
I just came home from serving on a girls Chrysalis Flight #41. God was definitely there to move in those girls. It is so beautiful being able to watch from an outward perspective, the inward growth of a spiritual seeking christian. The Holy Spirit was present the entire weekend and just like the transformation Chrysalis is named for, I watched these girls transform from ordinary and average caterpillars, into beautiful butterflies. God is so good and I want to thank him again for allowing me to have such an amazing opportunity to serve on a team! Even though I was not a youth table leader this time, I got to help by using my gifts of music and co-leading worship with two other amazing ladies.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11
Part 2
God has just been showing me his love in the smallest things. I have felt separated these past few weeks in my “fourth days” following that wonderful weekend at the beginning of July. I keep finding God in the little things I do, bringing me back, slowly but surely, into the safety of his arms. I have just recently learned that I don’t need the attention of men to fullfil the hole that isn’t even craving that attention at all. My heart isn’t aching for the love and affection of the men in my life, it is craving the love and affection from my heavenly bridegroom. I have had obstacles placed in front of me this summer with the attention from the guys in my life, but I have recently discovered that the hole and completeness I have desired cannot come from them, but in Christ alone.
